Crop a photo to a circle — in a few clicks, right in your browser

A round profile picture, a round logo for your website, or a set of product photos in the exact same circular shape — FrameLoom crops your photo into a perfect circle without anything ever leaving your computer. Drag and scale your image until it looks right, optionally add a border and a soft drop shadow, and export as PNG with a transparent background or JPG.

Works in Chrome and Edge, on Windows, macOS and Linux. Free to try (with a watermark); from €14.95 one-time, no subscription.

Example: a photo cropped into a perfect circle, with a gold border.

Three steps to a round photo

1

Open your photo

Choose a photo straight from your own disk — nothing is uploaded, FrameLoom runs entirely locally in your browser.

2

Choose circle, drag and scale

Select the circle shape and drag your photo inside it until the part you want to keep is nicely framed. Optionally add a border and a soft drop shadow.

3

Export

Save your round photo as PNG (with a transparent background) or JPG — ready to use as a profile picture, logo or product image.

What people use this for

A round profile picture for LinkedIn, Slack or a forum; a round logo for a website or email signature; a set of product photos that need to appear as circles on a webshop; or just a fun round photo frame for an invitation. Because you can stretch the shape into an ellipse, it's just as easy to make an oval photo instead of a perfect circle.

Frequently asked questions

Can I turn the circle into an oval instead?

Yes. Choose the ellipse shape instead of circle in FrameLoom — you can stretch or shrink it yourself, independently in width and height.

Will the area around my circle be transparent?

Yes, if you export to PNG the space outside the circle stays transparent — handy for a round logo or sticker. You can also fill that space with a color, or add a border and soft drop shadow.

Does this work for a round profile picture too?

Yes, that's one of the most common uses: open your photo, drag and scale it inside the circle until your face is well positioned, and export as PNG or JPG.
